...you are the art, iām just decorating...
What is your 'I'? Which part of you is the real definition of you? Which part of you is aware of the changes that happen to you? Which part of you is conscious enough to acknowledge its pure presence?
We all put on masks in one way or another. We put them on in front of strangers, acquaintances, family and friends. We even put them on in front of ourselves.
Some masks are meant to hide our demons, some masks are meant to hide our fears, some masks we wear as a wall behind which to hide our sadness, some masks we put on to try and make ourselves feel whole again. We try to control how we feel and think, we try to control how the world perceives us. Some of us try to be accepted, some of us try to stand out and be rejected.
So many masks, so many ways to hide the 'I'. But once again I'm asking you: who is the real you? Can you still feel that special, unique and pure part that makes you - you. Which part of you is aware of the mask you are wearing?
